10.00 a.m. Welcoming of relatives, guests and invitees in museum Klein Profijt by Jan van Tol.

10.45 a.m. Departure from Klein Profijt to the commemoration site.

11.00 a.m. Scouting group of Oud Beijerland and children from primary school (8th form) De Klinker from Oud Beijerland will come to the commemoration site from the scouting clubhouse, and they will take their places at the monuments. A number of children from the primary school will stand near the digital monument. The scouts give all the people a poppy

11.10 a.m. Welcome by Mr Jan van Tol, Chairman of the ‘Monument Luchtoorlog Hoeksche Waard 1940-1945 stichting’ (Foundation Monument Air War Hoeksche Waard 1940-1945). He is also the Master of Ceremonies. Mrs. Elsa van Gelderen, board member of the Royal British Legion Holland Branch will speak about what the poppy means.

11.15 a.m. Alder Mr. Drs. P. van Leenen of Oud-Beijerland will speak on behalf of the councils of the five municipalities in the Hoeksche Waard.

11.25 a.m. The sound of the Last Post, which will be followed by 2 minutes’ silence. Then the l sound the Reveille.

11.35 a.m. Placing of the QR code tiles in the digital monument by the Marshall family, then the Cox family end of this part of the ceremony. The tiles will be handed to the participants by Gert Hagoort , who if necessary, will also assist with the placing of the tiles. Master of Ceremonies Mr Jan van Tol will give information about the names on the tiles before the families place the QR code tiles. The names per tile will be Sergeant Ernst Bainbridge and Pilot Officer Graham Rolland.

11.50 a.m. Laying of wreaths and flowers / flower pieces. These will be handed by the scouts.

12.10 p.m. Hoisting of the national flags by the scouts and playing of the anthem first England than Canada and then U.S.A. By each anthem the flag will be going on top of the pole. This will be done by scouts

12.15 p.m. The sound of Amazing Grace.

12.20 p.m. Chairman of the foundation, Mr Jan van Tol will say a word of thanks.

12.30 p.m. Back to Klein Profijt to have a chat together. Music Vera Lyn “We will meet again”
